As we approach Winter, or “The Slightly Colder, Somewhat Dryer Time of Year,” the snowbirds begin to flock to Florida. It’s no doubt that our warmer temperatures and ever-buzzing tourist scene keeps the people coming.
For those of us who live here, fitting fitness into our culture and climate fluctuates with the season. Though it might seem that sunny skies would keep us running outdoor Princess marathons all year long, sometimes the heat proves too intense for our sweaty little bodies. This week, we’re sharing some of our favorite indoor and outdoor spots for staying fit and heart healthy in the Sunshine State.
What The Ladies Say
Faith says, “Celebration Fitness Centre. Amazing classes and gym equipment. I love running in Celebration as well. They have beautiful running trails.” Photo Credit: Integrated Architecture
Julie says, “Camp Gladiator. Outdoor boot camp style fitness. Their tag is #bettertogether.
• Dynamite Fitness: Bungee fitness! It’s amazing and literally the only place in Orlando you can do it is here! (Also, barre, Zumba, aerial yoga)
• I love me some Project 7 Yoga 7$ a class, always) but Peaceful Peacock Orlando is newer and really becoming a favorite! They are in the new “hourglass” district.”
Lauren says, “Camp Gladiator, because we workout outside. I know it’s hot, but I love the greenery around! For biking, my neighborhood (College Park).”
Danielle says, “Unless it’s a dance studio, I prefer my back patio! I have a beautiful view of a conservation- which is the perfect distraction to hating that 100th crunch! 😬 Lazy Dancer Tips is my YouTube channel of choice these days! Not just for dancers!”
Nancy captures the real bottom line truth we all experience with, “Work out?”
